Exceptional
English began as a small, one-person freelance editing service
in 1999. We established our web presence in late 2001 and have grown
steadily to include editors covering almost every editing sub-specialty.
We deliver high quality, affordable editorial and proofreading solutions
to a broad range of individual, business, academic, and government

We
have worked very hard to develop a network of trusted and skilled
proofreaders and editors. All are native English speakers, who possess
degrees from universities in Canada or the United States. Editors
working in our academic editing divisions are also required to have
master's or PhD degrees. The majority of the team consists of professional
editors, but many also work in other professions. By combining outside
professional skills with an expert knowledge of the English language,
the Exceptional English editing team consistently produces
top quality results for our clients. They deal with a wide array of
sub-specialty editorial projects including work in business,
science,
medicine,
education,
and the humanities/social
sciences. |

Garth
has over thirty years of experience in sales, management, government,
and entrepreneurship. He began his working life as a public school
teacher soon after he graduated from college. After six years as an
educator, he became very interested in the field of business and joined
a large international corporation where he held various sales and
management positions and was widely recognized for his abilities to
produce well-written and extremely effective sales presentations.
Garth later entered government, serving in several senior-level roles,
including Assistant Deputy Minister of Tourism and as Deputy Minister
of Industry for the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island. In
1986, he purchased a business, and with his entrepreneurial skills,
the company became a vibrant organization. Garth has also applied
his management skills to extracurricular work as a Commissioned Officer
in the Canadian Army and to a host of community projects. Currently,
in addition to his role as the director of the Exceptional English
business affairs, he teaches marketing and leadership at the Atlantic
Tourism and Hospitality Institute in Charlottetown, Canada. |
